Being a Photographer is about being many things: Stylist, logistic expert, technical engineer, psychologist, mother, father, or friend. It’s about being creative. About being 110%. About being in the mood when you’re not in the mood.
It’s about being relaxed. Being on edge. Being instinctive. Being inspired and inspirational.
It’s about being where things happen. It’s about being the thing that makes things happen. It’s about being a part of things and apart from them at the same time.
It’s about being the eyes of others. It’s being about being strong, about being soft, about being the person in the room that sees the way light hits the side of a person’s face at a particular moment. About being alert. It’s about being focused.
About in the moment. So you learn to juggle. To somehow get all the components in the right place at the right time and keep them long enough to prove that it happened.
And when that moment comes, only one thing matters.
